9 days post-op bleeding

I had my TVH 9 days ago all went well, yesterday I did too much, last night I had a gush of bright red blood filled a pad, then was in pain for most of the night. The bleeding has almost stopped this morning but still have quite a bit of pain. It was very scary...

I rang my gyno he thought i might have an infection so has written a script for anti-biotics, but didn't feel the need to see me? Anyway I will take them and see how it goes.

My partner is fussing over me wont let me do anything!! He took the day off work to look after me, he's sooo sweet!! :0)

Re: 9 days post-op bleeding

Hi Kat47,
I had a similar experience about 9 days post op. Scary isn't it???
I had a panic attack when I saw the blood, but rang my doctor and told me to have complete bed rest. The next day I was okay. You have a great partner, not all men would do that. I'm 6 months post op now, remember it takes time to get back on track. Your body has gone through extreme trauma so give yourself healing time.
You've probably stretched some stiches, so rest and let your man look after you. I wish mine had of.
Regards
Lisa

Re: 9 days post-op bleeding

Hi kat47
I'm glad you're being fussed over, that's such a nice thing. Sounds like he's a keeper.
How are you doing now? Has the pain gotten better? I know there were times when I did too much and had some pretty bad pain and a little bleeding. It just took a couple of days of rest and being more careful and I felt better. I hope this is true for you too.
You're very early post op, so take it slow and easy. Listen to your body and let it have the time it needs to heal. I hope you're feeling better, if not call I hope you'll call your dr and insist on being seen.
Rita
