Hello Ladies!
Glad to see your all still posting! I went for my 3 week check-up today and Doc says I am healing very quickly!I told him I get tired really easy and he said that was normal at this point and probably will for awhile still!I can resume normal activities still no lifting or vaccuming yet though!NO swimming or baths for another 3 weeks either!I have not been having any real bad effects yet just some major hot flashes at night the ones in the daytime are not as bad as those at night so dr. said start taking estovent it is OTC.I feel pretty lucky I hope it stay this way!I'll keep my fingers crossed!I go back for my 6 weeks appt.on August 9th and will have my internal exam then!(Can't say I'm looking forward to that AT ALL!) Take Care All! Debbie!

Castle visit from6/26-7/2!!!
Hello , ladies. I had mine the 27th of June. The first week was nasty, the pain pills made me throw up(PAINFUL). Glad its over. I am doing well as long as I get a nap 1-2hrs every day . I am feel better every day.The challenge is to know what is too much BEFORE you do it. I find that sitting up is often the cause of my aching. I am not on hrt at this time due to the endo. And have not had any problems. But, now the symptoms are sliding in on me. The nights are still really sore time for me. I usually awake at 1-2am and can't get back to sleep. I have even started to take simply sleepy from tylenol to get back to sleep. The flashes are light (lupron ones were wearse). I also have mini headaches that last short spans no migrains thank God. I feel a tiny bit edgy now. My doc wants me to hold off on the hrt and I will try to go along for as long as I can. I saw that "passthesalt" was on avilmil. It that considered as a natural way of hrt or can I take that now or along with hrt. I am confused with using supplements. Do they bother if you do or don't take hrt? Or wether you should or should'nt if your suppose to stay away from estrogen. So the bottom line is I am doing great (just a few bumps with the hormones) And happy I did what I did at this point. Glad to see you all doing so well. I love to hear about your experiences... take care. Diane

Diane,
In my case, the Avlimil is preventing hot flashes/night sweats at this time, so I don't feel like I need to take the HRT. The soy isoflavones and black cohosh in the Avlimil are 2 natural ways of preventing menopause symptoms. The choice of taking or not taking HRT is a personal decision between you and your doctor. I have chosen to remain off HRT and ask for a medication to prevent osteoporosis. If I become miserable, I will try the HRT route. Since you have endo, you need to talk to your doctor before you take any supplements. Best of luck to you.
Rene

Thank you passthesalt. I like avlimil I took it before I had my hyst. and went off 2 weeks before as they said to do. I will inquire about it at my next apt. Aug 5th. Thanks again I appreciate your input. Diane

Castle visit from6/26-7/2!!!
I missed this post the week after surgery. Thank you so much for the good wishes for me. I am fine now - the doctors never found out why I stopped breathing the day after surgery - only a low magnesium level. I got my pathology report back yesterday - finally - everything was fine just adenomyosis and endo - both of which I had no idea I had. My remaining ovary hasn't started working yet but I'm not giving up. Thanks again for the good wishes - hope all of you are doing well.
