6 weeks after hysterectomy !!!

Tomorrow 6 weeks dr appointment , still have dome cramps , tired more than 50% of the day, and... Sooo tired, no even funny !!! So, to the dr I'll go with my questions and concerns, and after that ... Coming home to my beauty sleep!!! Ha ha ha , but for real !!! Well... Humorist Always good, as I say... Some lip gloss and a smile will make you fell better))

I had no idea ahead of time that being so utterly tired would be such a part of having a hysterectomy. I wasn't prepared ahead of time - didn't know about HysterSister's.

Hang in there it really does get better. Don't be too hard on yourself -- you are only 6 weeks out from major surgery. You still need lots of rest to aid in the healing process. Remember to Pamper the Princess. (sleeping beauty was a princess too)

I am still so tired too! I am 5 weeks out. Some days I wake up and I feel a little burst of energy and then I do some stuff around the house and bam! I'm headed for the couch or the bed to lay down or nap. Most days I'm okay with this but I am just itching to go to town and do a little window shopping, especially since the Fall weather is approaching. I know I will be exhausted though. I guess I will have to wait a little longer, lol. Hang in there. You're not alone!

Dr recommend to eat more protein. So I'll get stronger, make sense , right?

Hello sisters, hystersisters, my days goes with no to much difference one to another , but here I go... Yesterday was 7 weeks since my surgery! And that's great , dr said is ok to swim , I love it! In others words ... Little by little I'm finding my old me, with new appreciation of life, I'll hope this will help to some other sisters around

Long way, sometimes not to easy, back of my hips in afternoons get tired and hurt , and some kind of cramps at front, don't know what to do, take all my energy, sometimes just need some pick me up energy, I guess need to be patient with myself, hope everyone been getting better

I am so sorry that you are struggling. We all heal at different rates and total healing can be 6 months to a year. Have you had your last post-op appointment? It would be good to check with him and let him what is going on. If you are still exhausted he can help you work through that.

Please keep us informed on how you are doing. You are not in this journey alone.

Thank you very much for your kind words, yes I did have my last check up with dr. But my annual is due soon, next week I'll see her, also I have almost everyday cramps on my legs,some times they are very painful, wonder if all this is connected ? Oh my... I'm the kind of person that keep going , now I sound like complaining to much, that's why this place is so good, is for real people, with real situations
