Hello, I'm new!

I found this site a month ago when I went to my DR and discovered I had to have a hysterectomy. I went in because my bowel was moving into my vagina(a rectocele, I know now) and I was experiencing some depression. It has been a very stressful year. I was surprised to learn that my uterus was prolapsed along with the rectocele. Wow! That is why it feels so weird down there!! I thought it was a normal thing after having 3 big babies. Well after getting over the shock and finding this site I feel much better. This place is so incredible! All of you ladies are so encouraging. I won't be having my surgery until Summer 2004 but I will be on this site often for advice. I am not in any pain and only experience some discomfort when going to the bathroom, which I do quite often. It is just annoying but I can wait on the surgery when things are calmer around here. I have 3 kids ages 10, 9 and 5 so we're really busy! I feel so blessed to not be in any pain and I'm on birth control pills so the periods are noneventful for me except for some lower back pain! I feel for some of you ladies after reading the posts here. Oh and he put me on Lexapro for my depressed state and it's working great. I'm feeling much better now! Thanks for listening and I look forward to seeking more advice here!
