Why is week 3 plus a step back ?

It says so on the checkpoints, and I feel so.
Weeks 1 and 2, ok
Weeks 3 to 4, energy levels all time low.

Why ?
Is it due to hormones rebalancing itself ?
Is it due to internal stitches dissolving ?

Any sisters know the answer ?

I don't know the answer but will be looking for others to chime in. I am hoping that is not true because I really do feel good now and will be seriously upset if that changes.

CFlower,

I too am at Week 3 and feel the same as you! I actually felt better LAST week and was able to do more! Was more active during the day and slept better at night.

Perhaps someone has the answer for us.

Re: Why is week 3 plus a step back ?

Week 3 was worse for me too. Not pain wise, but major fatigue and weepy. It's just our body adjusting to the trauma, and the hormones, by end of week 4, I felt GREAT. Hang in there!!!!!

Re: Why is week 3 plus a step back ?

Wow, I can't believe I found this thread. Perfect timing! I went for my checkup at 2 1/2 weeks and told my doctor I felt great and had been feeling great for quite some time. Went back to work at two weeks thinking it would only get better. To my surprise, I started spotting around 3 weeks and into the 4th week it got a little heavier. Doctor said it was normal because the stitches were dissolving. So spotting, tired, and a little down in the 3rd and 4th week. I seriously felt better the day I came home from the hospital. I mean I didn't even take any pain medication and was feeling really up and positive. I am thinking it has taken a couple of weeks for my hormones to deplete. I am guessing that is the reason for this feeling. Just hope it gets better. Going to Mexico in a month!

I am in the club with you all- was doing great, lots of energy, went back to work in the city on Friday-Friday night I was in alot of pain, couldn't cook, have been taking it easy since. Pain is gone. I was/am a little concerned.

it's all a process.

I don't know why, but that is how it was for me... Just passed five weeks post op and feel like I've tuned a corner and am feeling more energetic now.
