HELP!! What is causing my spotting?

I had DVH on 12/5 - removed uterus, fallopian tubes and cervix. Dr had me on 10 day dose of Lovenox (I x per day) which I completed on Monday and daily Estrace vaginal cream (2 gr. - 1 x per day for 4 weeks). I have been walking 7-10mins on the hour up to 60 mins per day since discharge from the hospital. I started spotting (very lightly - a light pink color) on Saturday. What could possibly be causing the spotting if I have not increased my activity, changed my meds, AND I have no uterus OR cervix?

Re: HELP!! What is causing my spotting?

Hi, I had TAH/BSO and had spotting pink and brown discharge up to 4 weeks later! It is perfectly normal and just the healing process. Hope you are recovering well other than the spotting. Hugs x

Re: HELP!! What is causing my spotting?

I had the same thing yesterday happen. I am going to the doctor this morning but not for the spotting. I hear it's normal as the stitches are dissolving and blood can be expelled.

Re: HELP!! What is causing my spotting?

I started spotting at around week 2 or 3 and stopped spotting at week 6. I saw some stitches on my T.P. My spotting was on and off and never needed more than a mini pad. It was always brownish pink, rusty brown or light brown. If you have bright red blood and bleed alot, call Doc right away. otherwise its considered normal!!! ((((hugs))))

Re: HELP!! What is causing my spotting?

I am at 4 weeks and I am still spotting. Just when I think I turn a corner after having brown to gold spotting I go back to pink. I had an odor and finally today it is going away. Rest and more rest, and even my trip to the dog park with stooping I would spot. So take it easy and keep healing. We have to remember it is major surgery!

Re: HELP!! What is causing my spotting?

Totally normal, I bled from 2-3 weeks until almost 6. I did overdo it and had increased bright red blood, but that was also with accompanying pain. My docs guidelines for "abnormal" were filling a pad an hour, fever over 100 & pain not manageable with ibuprophen - good luck, it does get better
