An Aching Spirit

I am aghast at what she said to you, but in reality, a comment like that can only come from three places 1) ignorance,
2) complete unconsciousness, or 3) an aching spirit.

I heard a quote the other day (maybe on this site, I can't remember)...

People who are unlovable, need the most love.

Here I will offer a quote from me, I just made up for you...

Wholeness comes from not how many parts your have on the inside, but from the intention and integrity of your spirit.

Take care.

Insensitivity!

Don't take your co-worker too seriously. She obviously isn't working with a "whole" brain!

Just to let you know that you aren't the only one, I had a real stunner last week.....

My cousin, who has been very depressed lately, stopped by my place to visit & vent. While we were talking she mentioned that her boyfriend had suggested that maybe her hormones were "off" (like mine post-op) and her DR might be able to start her on HRT. She said she told him, "No way!..I don't want to grow wiskers & a D***!"
Let me tell you, if she wasn't in the pits of depression I would have surely *punch* her!

Hopefully you will come into contact with more compassionte people rather than ignorant ones. But keep in mind that you can
always come back here and . Thankfully there is no shortage of support or understanding here!

Insensitivity!

I am an unemployed dental assistant. I quit my job a couple of weeks before my surgery. My GP didn't know what he was doing and had me trying several different hormones. I ended up with a severe hormone imbalance and the worst headache that I've ever had. I missed three weeks of work. When I returned to work I was 2 days away from my appt. with the GYN. The DR that I was working for told me that he thought my problem was psychological because I didn't like my job. He also thought that I would be fine if I changed my diet and started exercising (I am a small person) Then he had the audacity to tell me that if I was really sick I would not be waiting to see a male doctor for a female problem. That would be as stupid as him seeing a female doctor for a prostate problem. A man doesn't know anything about female problems. The GYN happens to be a patient at that dentist office which is why I chose him. I relayed all of this to the GYN, and he in turn went and saw the dentist. I quit my job because I couldn't deal with the ignorance. I was very surprised to receive flowers from the dentist and staff. Go figure...
