6 wks post-op Supracervical AH/BSO -- Question about scar

I had my six-week checkup the other day and my GYN happened to mention that my scar has "teeth" around the actual incision line -- you know, red dots where the staples entered my skin. He said that that's unusual for the dots to last this long.

I am a big girl (almost 300 lbs) and wondered if that had something to do with why they are still there. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Mind you, I have been celibate for seven years and doubt that will change any time soon, so it's not as if I have someone to say "Eww, gross, red dots,"

LOL! It does kinda look like something out of Frankenstein's lab with the dots around the scar, doesn't it?

I had my appt last week and they didn't say anything about my dots. (Yeah, still have them). They checked everything over (twice--had two docs in there) and both said everything looked good.

Did you doc say if there was something you needed to do for them?
