Vertical incision pain

I am 11 weeks post op and have really been healing well without any major complications from my TAH on 11/18. I have for the past couple days have been experiencing pain at my incision, it feels real sore. Just wondering if anyone out there experience simalar symptoms at this stage? I will go to my primary doctor this Friday and I'll let her know if I don't feel any better by then. I appreciate any input though.

Re: Vertical incision pain

I can't say I know exactly how you feel, but also can relate. I had a laser hyst, so no vertical/horizontal incisions. I had two c sections though, mykids are 10-13, and if I hit my incision still it hurts. Did you maybe bump up against something? It very well could be scare tissue also. I hope you find some answers at the docs office. Best wishes

Re: Vertical incision pain

When I had my first abdominal surgery the doctor said it would take about six months for all the nerve endings to heal. I would have days I would just be achy and times when I would get pinching type pain. It did go away, it seemed like it took forever.
Maybe a call to the doctor to be on the safe side would be a good idea.
I hope your recovery continues to go well.
