Anyone change in blood pressure?

I was curious if anyone else was experiencing a difference in their blood pressure? I am a little over 4 months post op. Prior to my surgery I had high blood pressure and was on meds.Still was borderline high at times even on meds.( I take blood pressure readings in the AM and the PM per my docs instructions so I can show him how it runs when I see him every 4 -6 months) After my TAH surgery my blood pressure fluctuated alot but I attributed that to the blood transfusion I had to get and regular recovery, etc. Now for past month still on BP meds but it is lower. Especially the bottom number. I have no complaints I'd rather it be lower than higher. Around my time of the month it used to be like 140/88, otherwise it ran like 135/78 or 138/85. Now it runs like 119/51 to 128/65. I wonder if the stress of all the bleeding I had and the adnemyosis caused the higher blood pressure before? I have a regular doc appt next month and I am going to ask him about it,maybe my meds need to be adjusted or whatever, but I was wondering in the meantime if anyone else was experiencing something like this. Thanks for listening.

Re: Anyone change in blood pressure?

Sometimes just being in pain and stressing out can raise your blood pressure. If you were having a lot of pain and stress before your TAH that *could* make your blood pressure higher. It might be lower now b/c you arent in pain anymore, or having to stress about being in pain. I would still ask your dr though just so you know that things are ok.

Re: Anyone change in blood pressure?

Mine was usually around 101/58 or 103/60 around in there. Mine has increased! Last time I got it checked I was 130/70. I don't know what's going on but the gynecologist said not to worry about it, but I am worried! She said it's "still okay."
