Anxious and excited...

Well, I'm going in for my pre-op in the morning at 9:00am and I'm VERY anxious about the upcoming surgery, but I'm also excited! I've had a WONDEFUL day. Kyle (hubby) and I had a nice (and PAIN FREE) interlude this morning, afterwards I was co overcome with emotion I just burst into tears..when he asked if I was ok all I could respond with was "I Love You!"

Then I went to the mall and bought an old favorite CD (I'd misplaced the cassette version years ago). While there I stopped in Godiva Chocolatier and bought him some dark chocolate hazelnut biscotti. It was a peace offering and a thank you, after all..doesn't hurt to kiss up to those you're about to be relying on for pretty much EVERYTHING. Went and bought some cheap jewelry to go with an outfit I think I look fabulous in, then went to the christian bookstore to buy a book from my favorite author.

I then met him for lunch and then we went to a local electronics store and browsed. Took the WHOLE lunch hour just to be with me! I felt SOOO special and looked after, we held hands almost the WHOLE time!

I left him at work to go take some books to a friend and viit with her for a bit. She's bringing over a frozen lasagna this weekend. hehe She wants to come see me, and wants to escape her inlaws for a few hours.

I came home and have been taking it easy.

thanks for all the encouraging words, gals! You all have made this so much easier to bear!

..........

dorsey, what a wonderful and romantic day you had!!!

i am blessed w/ a man who has stayed by me through out all my years of stuff. i don't think i can love him anymore or any deeper than i do. when he does something surprising and i feel another wave of warmth in my heart for him, it is more and it is deeper.

life is too short to let little things overshadow that feeling.
i was reminded of this when i declined a wheelchair to go to the car, the day i left the hospital. the walk was too far and i bit his head off.

then i hugged and kissed him in the car, said i was so sorry. he's so much more mushier than i am and i'm noticing how much mushier i've been since home. hope i didn't turn into a stepford wife...yikes. take care and best wishes to you on your upcoming surgery. i look forward to your posts. m

((( Dorsey )))

Best wishes at your pre op today. Mine was kind of long ( lots of hurry up and wait ) but it wasn't bad.

Your day does sound like it was nice - I love Godiva chocolates too ( who doesn't ) .
