Hysterectomy tomorrow 11/23 ..got my period, help

I really planned everything, shopped , cleaned , made my spot , etc. Why did I forget that I could actually get my period. Of course I got it today. Spent a lot of time crying and upset. I felt great and ready yesterday as I left pretesting, now I am not sure how to deal with this. I am worried it will make surgery even more difficult. Please help, I need encoragement.

All of my preop paperwork specifically said that if it happened it was no big deal.

Same here. I didn't have a hyst but repairs. I specifically ask my surgeon if it would matter. She said not at all

By this time tomorrow, your uterus will be gone, your period will have gone with it and your recovery will have begun. :-)

I specifically asked my Dr before both my surgeris (cold knife conization in April and then hysterectomy in May) and she said it didn't matter if I got my period. She said to look at the positive side, you'll go into the surgery (the hysterectomy of course) with a period and come out without it.
