6 wk post op, granulation tissue w/silver nitrate
Hi everyone. Today was my six week post op and my doctor found a small spot of granulation tissue which he treated with silver nitrate. I've been advised that I can resume all regular activities including sex, swimming, etc. and that I do not need to come back until my 1 year exam. I asked if we need to follow up on the silver nitrate treatment and he said no that it's fine. I know my doc is great and all but now I'm scared to death that this spot may not heal and I won't know without a follow up visit. Have any sisters been "turned loose" with no follow up after a silver nitrate treatment?

Re: 6 wk post op, granulation tissue w/silver nitrate
I had granulation and silver nitrate treatment at 5 months post op. I don't need to see my doctor again unless the bleeding starts again. If you doctor was worried he would have you come back for a recheck.

Thanks Molly. That's what I was thinking too but couldn't help being a little worried. I haven't had any pain or discharge so I had no idea there was a granulation. Hopefully everything will finish healing properly.
