What treatment did your doctor do for adeno?

What treatment, if any, did your doctor do for the adeno before scheduling your hsyter? My dr mentioned it "might" be adeno and so far she's had me on Progestin and now Prometrium. Both did nothing for the pain. I already had an ablation, so I was just wondering what the next step in the process may be.

I choose to have a hysterectomy for my adenomyosis because my doctor said birth control pills/hormones could stall it until menopause, but there was no guarantee.I didn't want the risk involved with hormones and/or birth control pills. I was in such horrible pain that I didn't want an alternative, I wanted it to stop forever.
