Upcoming hysterectomy 1/19: fighting a cold - what did you do?

My surgery is the 19th at my pre-op they did ekg and said it looked like I had a heart attack ugh well after stress test and echo I am cleared for surgery no heart attack now I am fighting a cold help anyone else feel like they were getting a cold and what did you do

Yes, Heaven, I did that one too. I just made sure I got lots of rest, water, and generally tried not to stress my system. Dr said as long as I didn't have a temp on day of surgery it would be ok. For me everything went well no hitches.

I am so glad you found this site. I am also glad you did not have a heart attack!

Call your doctor and let them know what is going on with your cold virus. They may have to evaluate you the day of surgery. Do not take any OTC meds, including Vitamin C, with out your doctor's approval. Drinking lots of water helps fight a virus, and get plenty of rest.

Hopefully you will feel better soon.
