How long was your typical hospitalization?

Dr. told me that the hospitalization should be around 3 days - Monday - Wednesday. Did most of you have that or a longer hospitalization? Did you feel ready to come home or did you feel that you needed a longer stay at the hospital? TIA

How long was your typical hospitalization?

I was in the hospital from 9:30 AM on Monday to Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM. It was probably the right amount of time, I was ready to come home.

How long was your typical hospitalization?

I had surgery on Thursday, came home Sunday afternoon. If you are able to be up walking and not having a lot of pain, you will be ready. Just rest a lot when you get home! Best of luck..

How long was your typical hospitalization?

I went in on a Tuesday morning and came home Thursday afternoon following a total abdominal hyst and left oophrectomy. I would have liked to come home sooner but my bowel was very, very sleepy and uncooperativ. I had a private room (far better than the only other time I was in the hospital in a shared room) with a fine staff and attentive husband. But, still, I was like Dorothy clicking my ruby slippers the whole time, saying "There's no place like home, there's no place like home...

Be sure and get up as soon as possible after surgery and walk as much as possible. It's tough at first but you'll feel better each time.

How long was your typical hospitalization?

I had a LAVH/BSO on Wed morning at 7:30 am and had a few complications, but still managed to be discharged by 7:00pm on Friday evening and was very ready. I needed my own bed and bathroom. Even though I had my own room and my dh stayed with me. There's no place like home. Lynn
