Bleeding at almost 4 weeks post-op

I live in Grady County. Had my surgery on Dec. 18. Things went well. Finally got the hot flashes under control. Was feeling really well but not quite 4 weeks post op I started with some fairly heavy bleeding. Because its the weekend I chose to just stay off of my feet instead of chancing being sent to the ER. I have no idea if this is normal or not. I had very little bleeding after the surgery so I'm not sure what to think. I plan to call my dr first thing in the am. Sure would like to hear from someone if this is something to be of major concern or if I just overdid it. thanks

I'm sorry you've experienced this.

Sudden bleeding at 4 weeks post-op ~ especially heavy ~ needs to be checked out as soon as possible. It's impossible, I'm afraid, to say exactly what caused it unless, of course, you know you've been overdoing it. Even then, you'll still need a medical opinion.

If it's still heavy now, please go the the ER, or contact your doctor ~ there should be an out-of-hours service.
