Endo Ablation
Hi all! I'm new to the HS site. It's nice to read the forum and get info.
I'm 35. I had a vaginal delivery in 2001 and a c-section delivery with tubal ligation in 2004. Since 2006, my periods have become heavier, longer and with daily clots (quarter sized and graduate smaller as the cycle ends). Anywho, I complained to my GYN but was always ignored until now...
I'm anemic and symptomatic. My hemoglobin was 9.1 on the last day of my period this past month! A new GYN did a U/S and everything looks normal but she did note adenomyosis (never heard this before). B/c of my anemia, she suggested endometrial ablation which is scheduled for 10/27/2009.
I never thought my periods were heavy. I use thin pads throughout the whole cycle, but I pass clots - and lots of them every day throughout the cycle. I don't cramp or have any pain whatsoever...never even need a pain reliever.
After doing some research on adenomyosis, I'm not sure if EA is going to be effective. It might buy me time? I would like to hear from other women who have experienced this, EA and their outcome.
Thanks for reading and your comments are appreciated!
