Pushed something heavy 5 days post hysterectomy - what did I do?

Had my TVH on the 17th of this month. I have been feeling fantastic until yesterday when I pushed something very heavy. I went from not feeling like I even had surgery to ice packs, pain meds round the clock, being miserable, and feeling like I got run over. I have tons of pressure in my vagina, which also itches now?? Lower back and abdominal pain that Percoset isn't helping! Please tell me I'm going to go back to how I was feeling immediately after surgery.....

Sounds like you over did it! Get out the heating pad, curl up in bed and stay there until you feel a little better. Are you bleeding at all?

Not bleeding thank God!

If meds are not relieving the pain,you are best to call your Dr. This soon out for you it is so important to heal correctly!! It is worth peace of mind to make sure everything is OK.

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I also had mine on the 17th. I'd recommend calling your doctor asap and tell them exactly what you did and all your symptoms that you're now experiencing. If your pain is severe and not relieved with pain meds and rest, you may need to go to the ER and be checked. I'll be praying for you.
