TLH Curious about pain, 4 days post hysterectomy

Please bear with me as this is my first post!

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy on Thursday March 2. I have 4 incisions on my stomach and they took my left ovary, both tubes, uterus and cervix due to endometriosis. I'm a generally healthy 27 year old with one 7 year old. I'm still finding it hard to manage my pain with OTC remedies. I've tried ice/heat, compression bandages, Tylenol, Motrin and Alieve with very little help managing the pain I'm still having. I called my surgeon today (Monday) and asked if it were possible to refill my pain medication as they only gave me 18 oxycodone and I ran out today. I was told that they would not refil and if I needed more to go to the ER.
I was just wondering how much longer I should expect to be in pain. I know that everyone heals differently, I just was wondering if there was any truth with other women to my doctor specifically saying "you should be fine by now".

Hopefully you gals can give me some pointers I don't know about!

I had a TVH, along with a bladder sling and extensive prolapse repairs on February 23rd, so I'm nearly 12 days po. I was given 30 pain pills, and was given a refill at my 1 week po appointment. I know we hear the "everyone heals differently" bit all the time, but it really is true. In my case, most of my pain seems related to the prolapse repairs. I am no longer taking the pain pills as suggested (every 4 hours), but took 2 yesterday as we spent a good amount of time walking around the mall, and then had a long drive home. Tonight I took one before bed because I'm getting a cold and coughing and sneezing made everything hurt.

When I talked to the nurse before my appointment, it sounded unlikely that they would give me more, but when I saw them they were fine with it, and they asked me rather than me having to suggest it. Do you have an appointment soon? I hope you are able to get some relief soon. While definitely unpleasant, I personally don't feel that it is abnormal to be in enough pain at only 4 days po to need pain medication. Good luck!
