When to start Bowel Prep?

My Doctor only gave instructions to do 2 fleet enemas on the night before surgery, which is tonight.
Does anyone know when I should do these?

Please call your doctor. I have never heard of TWO fleet enema. Good luck with your surgery.

i would do them early enough before bed time as to not be up all night long, after i've done an enema it works pretty much right away , but then it gets things moving.. so i usually have to go a few more times after.... may be different for you.. wishing you luck...

I would agree -- call the doctor to ask for the timing.

I didn't have a bowel prep the night before my surgery, but when I got to the hospital I was handed two enemas to administer to myself. It was interesting to say the least!

Do make sure that you let the nurses know if you think the enemas "do the trick" for you. Not everyone is good at giving themselves an enema (including me, as it turned out) so they will need to know if anything additional needs to be done at the .
