Best Thing I Ever Did

Returned home from the castle yesterday from 7/1 TAH, BSO and removal of cervix. I am doing great; just on Advil and Tylenol now. Getting lots of rest and help (kinda enjoying it). My doctor (who is over 60) called my endo the worst case he ever saw; the residents said that back of my uterus looked like ground beef where the endo was attached to the nerve endings on the pelvic wall. I can only tell those who are experiencing pelvic pain that the worst day of pain I had after surgery was still better than my best day prior! No more Percoset!! Good luck to those who follow. It isn't that bad.

Welcome home

I wish you well with your recovery. I have a few weeks to go until my surgery and although I have had some doubts I know it is the best thing for me.

Take care of yourself.

Best Thing I Ever Did

Hi Carol,
Glad to hear you're feeling better. I am 2 weeks post-op. LAVH for endo, adenomyosis. I too felt like you, my periods were alot worse(pain). I can only imagine how good I will feel in the coming weeks if I feel this good now. I wish you a speedy recovery and a pain free existence!!!! Yeah we have our lives back! Take care, Elke

Best Thing I Ever Did

Welcome home! Now be a good princess and remember your training: rest, drink lots of water, rest, take short walks around the house, and rest.

We’ll look for your castle story on the “Princesses Tell Their Stories” forum, and further recovery updates on the PostOp forum.

Best wishes for a smooth, uneventful recovery.

Best Thing I Ever Did

I read your words and I am envious. I can not wait for the day I can post the same thing. I will bring your post up every time I need encouragement. Right now I feel as if there is no hope of ever being healthy or even having my life back. Thank you for the inspiration.
