problems with sex

My hysterectomy was almost 7 weeks ago. I'm back to normal, doing great, and everything went well with recovery. The only problem i've had is that i have NO sex drive... I still have my ovaries and I don't have a problem with dryness. I'm young, 27, WAY too young to have zero interest in sex, and it is very frustrating for my husband. I have gotten to where i don't really even like to kiss or be touched. Please tell me there is someone else out there with the same problem!!!

Re: problems with sex

It took me months to get my sex drive back.

I was OK if Dh initiated, once he got me going things were fine but I had no interest in initiating anything myself. And then around the 4 month mark I jumped him :-)

Don't underestimate the 6-8 weeks initial healing & 6-12 months total recovery. Your body is still healing even if you are back in your normal routines.

At 7 weeks your hormones could still be out of whack even though you have kept your ovaries.
