staples

I had my pre op yesterday and I forgot to ask the dr if I will have staples or the ones that disolve. I am having surgery tomorrow having my uterus and cervix out. If anyone knows please let me know

If you are having an abdominal hyst you may either have staples, glue, or just steri strips. The stitches inside are self dissolving.

If you really want to know before tomorrow call your DR and ask.

Hi! I was really fortunate to have a doc who does a really tricky, clever way of stitching with disolving stitches. From the outside, you cannot see ANYTHING. It is really amazing. Just my smiley face line.

I did not have to get anything removed at all, and it was not particularly painful or itchy at all. She took the dressing pad off on day 2, and said not to put anything over it, not even steri strips or bandaids, just let it air.

It is looks great and has healed really fast!
