Help with physician questions

I am going this afternoon for my 2 week post op check up with my gyn. Anyway, I have been having the weirdest feeling in my legs. Kind of an arthritic pain in my knees and hips along with achy calf muscles and sore skin. Maybe more sensitive type of skin. There appear to be no signs of blood clots- heat, redness, swelling etc. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Also, I am on HRT and want to know how to approach the fact of possibly using natural alternatives with my dr. He is convinced that because I am 37 and had a TAH/BSO that I need premarin. Any suggestions?

Help with physician questions

I think all dr's believe all women need premarin!

I'm now 11 wks, 2 days. I think you should check the tabs at the top of the page to find a list of post-op questions for your dr and add any of your own concerns. Be sure to ask about the leg pain. Make a list of all the troubles, concerns, and whys. If you can keep the list in your hands and ask them it is better than I get, my dr takes my list from me reads and answers questions in a hurry. I don't get to write anything down so I can remember it later.

My questions of memory loss, coordination problems, and others were anwered with "I don't know, nothing about the surgery has anything to do with it". So I wish you luck at your visit.

Remember you have a lot of healing to do, take care. If you get a real answer about the leg pain, please let us know. I've had a lot of that as well, was thinking it was due to my back problems but frequent trips to chiropractor haven't helped much if any. Chiro. dr says to expect a lot of unusual pains and sensations to crop up since surgery for quite awhile yet all due to surgery and position of me during surgery and perhaps how they handled me while under anesthesia.

Heal well and remember your sisters here understand!
