Week and a half post op.

I had a TAH on April 25th. Today was the first day I woke up feeling....not to bad. I have 2 goals for myself today. 1) I'm going to get the dishes done. And 2) my hubby bought me a beautiful new jewelry box yesterday that I want to organize. Slowly but surely I will get there. The sun is shining today I may even take my ereader out on the deck. I have made it to the other side, and can not wait to see what a "normal" life is like.....one without daily pain. One day at a time.

Re: Week and a half post op.

I had my abdominal on the 19th. I also had a vaginal incision for rectocele.
Week two was so much better. I still have zero stamina, bit no real pain. It is more discomfort and weird sun burn feeling belly ( nerves healing, I was told).
Welcome to the other side. Take it easy and relax!

Re: Week and a half post op.

Good Morning! Glad you are doing better. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op-total ab hysterectomy. I can do a little each day. I am finding I am taking a while to come back, but not worried. From this site I have found it is normal. Taking it easy and enjoying what I can each day. I find each day is unpredictable and I go with the flow. Glad you are having a good day. Be good to yourself and don't over do. Thanks for sharing your encouragment. Enjoy!

Re: Week and a half post op.

It's good to hear that today's a good day! I would skip the dishes and go straight to the deck with the reader and enjoy the nice day

To each of the sisters that just had surgery. Recovery is a process. Some good days and some not so good. But each of you will absolutely get to where you need to be. One day at a time.
This surgery has improved my quality of life tremendously. I hope it will be the same for you. Oh the things that the new you, living a better quality of life will be afforded.

Enjoy your day and Happy healing!
