dVH/RALH Insomnia anyone?

Had LAVH on Friday. I was prescribed Dalaudid for pain. I have been sleeping a lot, but feeling better than I thought I would. I have the occaisional pain, but not really too bad. Maybe I am so used to the "before" pain that this is not phasing me so much. Anyway, the last time I took the pain meds was 2 days ago. Now I have insomnia! I am tempted to take the Rx just to get to sleep, but don't want to rely on it for that.

Ugh. Guess I will call the doctor in a day or two if this doesn't get better. Anyone else dealing with this?

Yes! In the beginning I was sleeping at 2 hour clips. Within the last week, I have been sleeping for 6 hours a night. Still not enough, but better. I find by late afternoon I get pretty cranky. I rest most of the day without a nap now.

I go for my 2nd post op on the 11th. I will mention it o the Doc., but I do not want a sleep aid.

Oops, I had a DVH, not LAVH. Guess I really was sleep deprived.
