No more whining!
I just wanted to say to all the women here who have not ~only~gone through a Hysterctomy, but are also battling cancer, to have a wonderful holiday season, and I wish you all great health! I have been whining about hot flashes, constipation, and a sore belly. But, put into perspective, its nothing but a small hurdle in my life. I am sending my best to you all and will put you in my prayers.

I second that. At times, life can get tough, and for me, I have to sit back and really be thankful, for the hurdles that I may have, are not in any way as big as the hurdles some of you wonderful ladies have to battle. All the best to you for the Thanksgiving season.

I say Amen to that!!!! No matter what any of us are going through there is always someone else worse off.
A hysterectomy alone is stressful, but you add cancer to the picture it is even harder. I was blessed all my cancer was contained and my surgery was my cure...some others are not as fortunate and I want to say my heart goes out to you all who are battling cancer. I admire you all for the strength and courage you show. You have taught me courage and have inspired me greatly. May God give you all battling cancer healing.
I have grown to love all my fellow hystersisters!! You have supported me through the surgery and cancer ordeal with such wonderful information and just being there. I can't thank you all enough and you all know who you are for your replies and all the PM'S of support from fellow cancer sisters who always took the time to PM and wish me the best. I'll never forget that.
May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. Be thankful for being YOU. Be thankful for all the many many blessings that we still do have in our lives no matter how low we may feel at the time. May God be at your side, and may the angels sing softly in your ear!!!

Thank you so much for this post. I have been through a lot these past few months, and have gotten things out of focus.
You have just shown me to BUCK UP AND GET BACK AT IT!
Some days it's just so hard to pick up that sword and fight...

I agree. We've all be through a lot, but I know it's been much tougher for some than others. Happy Thanksgiving to all! Being through what we've been through, we all have so much to be Thankful for! Enjoy every minute of every day!!! Treasure the little things. If we had gone through this...say 10... 20...30 or more years ago, we wouldn't have made it. I'm so thankful for the medical technologies we have today. I'm so thankful for my Doctor/Surgeon.

Hi Octoberhyst!
I think you have a terrific grasp of the concept of "perspective." I believe your understanding of this will serve you well in the years ahead.
