Re: Third week feeling worse than the first

I too had a LAVH took ovaries, tubes & cervix on June 7th I have been having sometimes brown and sometimes pink discharge. Saw my dr at 2 weeks he said this was normal for 2-4 wks means everything wad healing good. But I have noticed its more if I move around lot. I am still tired easily. I was so run down before surgery had a blood transfusion a week before surgery. I too thought I would be feeling lot better by now. Still get pains from gas and bowel movements. I am so glad I am not alone in feeling like this.

Re: Third week feeling worse than the first

I can sympathize with all. Last week seemed to be the worst even though I have not had any more spotting. My NP told me it can go on even for a few months afterward. I have been taking it VERY easy, though walking every few hours...around the yard, around the block, and doing some VERY light housekeeping (slowly cleaning the counters, no pulling or pushing, laundry one item at a time...). I am finding that the inactivity is the worst...I see all the things I want to do (and had planned before the docs discovered cancer in April!) and then tell myself I do have all the time in the world...as much as anyone else--NOW and things will get done in their own time~

Hope you all are feeling better and Don't OVERDO!

Third week feeling worse than the first

Thank you to every one of you! I did call my drs. office today and the nurse felt that everything I described was "normal" and that I needed more rest and recovery.
I don't think I can do much less than I am doing. I will definitely try.
But I was more concerned with things like: why aren't doctors more clear about what to expect? Why is it so hard to get simple answers? And, of course, when am I going to feel better???
YOU WOMEN are the ones helping to fill in all of those blanks. Thank you!
