Word to the wise about your enema

****Do it as close to the toilet as possible*****

Of course make sure you are safe and comfortable.

I don't know about any of you but I have never done an enema before. I did my M.C. Earlier and had not pooped and I just did my enema and it ALL came rushing out at the same time. Thank Goodness I was two feet from the toilet. When they say 2 to 5 minutes they really mean it! Mine was more like 90 seconds. Make sure you have clean towels nearby just in case it comes out alittle on the floor cause you have to be laying down to do it. (not that that happened to me or anything )

I know this might sound like tmi but I never did this and I thought someone might want to know what it is like.

Good advice. I, too, have never done an enema. My surgery is scheduled July 2nd so I have to do it the day before only if the mag citrate doesn't work.... Not sure which I dread more - the mag citrate or the enema. Both sound awful.
