Post op heavy leaking from wound

I have just had the results back from the swab test taken a week ago. They say I am infected with Staphylococcus aureus . I have been put on strong antibiotics. I am not sure if this alone is the cause of all the build up of fluid and serum leaking out.

Does this mean I got this in hospital?

Was told yesterday that tests have come back and there is staphylococcus aureus in the wound. They are treating it at home, with heavey antibiotics. I am not sure if this is sole cause of leaking, but have been told to expect it to be at least 2 weeks more.

Thanks for your interest, Liz

Hey Liz I had the same thing, my wound is still leaking and being packed and i also had the staph infection which is gone now . they treated it with anitbiotics and it has nothing to do with the leaking. I got mine from the hospital and many people get it even if they dont have surgery.
