using pantiliners like crazy!

Is this normal? To be having discharge all the time?
I had an infection on the weekend, got antibiotics (big help :-)
and i STILL have this discharge. Not smelly, just a bit of blood in it. But I am thinking my bladder is leaky a bit and I know that that's normal too. (LAH was Oct. 20)

Anyone else experiencing these things?

Re: using pantiliners like crazy!

Not the leaky bladdeer but I am having some nasty discharge not all the time mostly when i go potty or if I have been on a feet maybe a little too long. My bladder issues have actually gotton better since my hysterectomy, but I had a prolapse that aggrevated everything.

Re: using pantiliners like crazy!

to October 1,

How ARE you 4 weeks post-op???????
It's 2.3 weeks for me. I am BORED!!! But I know that's a good thing.
Everytime I try and do something, I pay for it later! When does this "stop"???

Re: using pantiliners like crazy!

Discharge is normal. Leaky bladder, I don't think so.

Re: using pantiliners like crazy!

To Heathervan,
I am doing pretty well, bored too! I think back to 2 1/2 wks post op and i am definately better. I remember that was a big outing for a fall festival at my DS's school and boy did I pay for that but it was worth it. I really wished I had looked at the "checkpoints" on the homepage right from the start because my doc did not give tell me much accept do not lift more than 5 lbs. I did not realize I should not bend over much or empty dishwasher etc. Once I found those checkpoints I have followed them to the tee.
I stopped all pain meds on day 4, did not like the way they make me feel and the constipation was not good. By the way I still have many issues w/ that. I am wondering myself when that will end. I take a stool softener 3 x's a day, lots of water & fiberous foods.
I walk all around the house and go to the grocery store. Drive my kids to school. Mornings are still slow though. It seems like I can do most things just at a slower pace.
I really suggest just to keep resting. I'm sure you have heard it many times, YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE TO HEAL! That scares me straight to boredom and learning to love it. I must say that at about week 2 or so is when I got past the idea of "what the heck, I thought I would be normal by now" and shortly after that I stopped the crying from out of the blue. That is when I gave in and decided I just had to heal my insides.
Other than that I do still get my swelly belly but not as often and much later in the day. I have started to spot more and now for a couple of days I have really laid low, and that has gotten better.
I am glad you are bored...that means you are doing exactly what you should be doing..... a whole lot of nothing!
I just thought, wouldn't it be great if we were all from the same area so we could all be bored togther.
I am so grateful for this site.
