LSH period like bleeding at 4 weeks post op

I had period like bleeding that lasted about 2 days at 4 weeks post op. When I called the dr. they had me come in, but I was told that I was the first patient that had had this happen. They gave me a depo shot and told me to rest and return after the weekend. When I went back in today I was told that since I still have my cervix and one ovary the bleeding may happen monthly. I am just wondering if at some point this will stop? And those of you who have bleeding monthly is it like your normal period? Mine was quite a bit the first day and more than spotting the second.

Me too. Had my surgery on 4/1; have had light spotting which I know is normal. But today I am cramps and I'm bleeding red like a light period - more than I expect to see without all my parts (uterus/cervix - still have ovaries), ya know? I think I probably overdid it yesterday, but I felt really good, like I had turned the proverbial corner. I've decided that if its still bright red tomorrow morning I'm calling the doc when they open and see what they say.
