How long did it take for pathology reports to come back?

I had surgery early on a Friday morning and my doctor's office called me Monday afternoon.

I had surgery Wednesday and my doc told me my pathology results Friday evening when she came in to do rounds. I got my official hard copy of the report at 3 weeks when I went to see her in the office.

I had surgery on a Wed - got that initial pathology within hours and the final pathology the following Monday. Also got a copy in the mail about a week later. Take care!

I haven't gotten mine back yet. Doctor said I would of had it early last week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thunderbird, I didn't know my final path report until my 3 week follow up. I called the week before and spoke to his nurse because he had said it takes a couple weeks. She couldn't ? / wouldn't ? Give them to me so I waited. I think it depends on the doctor. I love mine and I think had I told his nurse I just had to know then, he likely would have called me. I knew going into the surgery that I had cancer so I was waiting for the staging. Happy to report Stage 1A. Grade 3.

Initial while I still on table, they told my fam. Final about two days later

Before I left the hospital, surgeon gave me final path report, pathologists did their part the morning after. It was quick because surgery needed to treat symptoms and rule out cancer; all tumors benign. I have a terrific surgeon he even gave me his 3 page pre-operative report and 2 page operative report, talk about detailed!

My Dr. had mine at my 1 week check-up.

Surgery was Monday afternoon and I got my path report phone call Thursday morning. Dr did frozen sections and prepared for staging during surgery but luckily got a clean path report even though we weren't expecting it to be so great.
