polypectomy 1 year after EA?
Good morning ladies! I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for. I've searched and searched online but my prodecures "seem" to be out of order! (you'll understand in a second, trust me!) I had a Novasure Ablation, D & C, hysteroscope 8/28/06 which, I was told, was successful. Had (what I thought) all the tests done prior to the ablation (biopsy, pap, blood work, ect) needless to say I'm back at square one (bleeding non stop w/ clots) Keep in mind, I am uninsured and a cash patient. Went to a new Dr for the non stop problem and more testing was done. This time I had a trans vaginal sonogram along with all the other testing again, done and they found small fibroids and polyps and my left ovary has a "working" cyst. I'm now scheduled for a polypectomy, D & C, hysteroscope on 8/28/07 (yes, I wrote that date correctly! EXACTLY one year later! kind of freaky huh?) My questions are these:
1-Did I develope these polyps since the EA? shouldn't the first Dr have seen them during the procedures of 2006? or if thy are "new" then won't I re-grow them immediately after the procedures scheduled for 2007?
2-I know there's no guarantees with ANY procedure BUT I'm only 41,and I'm perimenopausal, what's the chances of my having to repeat the polypectomy and/or the D & C again before menopause?
3-have any of you had a polypectomy AFTER an ablation? what were your results?
I guess I'm disheartened and depressed since I'm soooo tired of battling the same thing. I feel like a science experiment! any input would be appreciated!
