Bad case of PMS after hysterectomy with ovaries

I am two months out from surgery, July 31, 14. I would have been due to have my period the last week of the month. Last month I noticed my PMS symptoms were hanging around...tired, woeful, cramping...this past week would have been my second and it was really tough. I had more discomfort and I have felt really down. Not for any particular but I havent experienced this length of pms since i was much younger. I used to suffer from extreme PMDD when i was young and as my period worsened into a biweekly catastrophe my mental pms waned. Well now...hello.....it seems as though its here tapping me on the shoulder.
Has anyone else experienced continued or increased PMS?

Funny you should ask, I just got on to see if I could find out when people said their PMS symptoms went away. Mine started over 3 weeks ago and they are still going! I actually didn't suffer from bad PMS before the hyster.

I've gone on an anti-depressant to help with the teariness and for the first time in years brought acne creams. Saw the specialist today - he said if the symptoms continue to come back in 8 weeks and he'll try hormone therapy. But 8 more weeks of this - argh!

Try Super B complex vitamins. I have been taking my Prozac as always and that did not help. I am going to make a wild assumption here and say that its not going to return to normalcy for about a year. So definitely look into vitamins if you dont already take them. If you do, look into herbal remedies and teas. I cant wait to start working out again.

Im content to just envelope up into my little world of misery because i am aware of what it is and dont want my family to get sick of hearing about it. Sometimes you just need to whine, fuss, over think etc with someone who you really dont know, its almost as if they care more!
