Extream highs and lows!!!!!

I know I can't be the only one who feels scared one minute then excited the next. I'm driving my husband crazy talking about it over and over but I can't help it. First I'm talking about how much better I'll feel then I'm talking about how scared I am. I just need validation that I AM NOT LOSING MY MIND!

Extream highs and lows!!!!!

Hey Naomifawn,

If you are losing your mind then so am I. My hubby also thinks I have lost my marbles. He says I am going to need therapy after my surgery to deal with my Hystersisters Addiction ... LOL

From reading these threads until I am blue in the face it seems everybody is in the same boat!

Hugs,
Tracy

Extream highs and lows!!!!!

Tracy,
I know what you're saying. I look through the posts daily I feel like this is a good place to be even though I rarely post. I have been cleaning like crazy and preparing my kids and husband. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 16year old son. All of them are a great support but none of them truely know how I feel inside. The scariest part it the "what if's" what if I'm not the same, what if my husband doesn't like who I'll become or our sex life. These things scare me the most because I am so close with my husband and I'm afraid of losing him. Thanks for the hugs and support. Naomi

Extream highs and lows!!!!!

I understand what you are saying. I have a little girl 11 and two big girls 21 and 23. My youngest asked me last night ... who would look after her if I died at the hospital. I am an emotional wreck already so I just started balling and hugging her.

The sex life, the moods and everything else is such an unknown and that is a little worrisome.

You might want to pop over to Friends without Faces Forum and post under
LIW Chat. We are all women waiting for our surgery and it's just a general chat ... nothing surgery related but just a fun place to post and wait together.

Hugs,
Tracy

Extream highs and lows!!!!!

Namoifawn,

Your thoughts mirror what I went through before my surgery. I was driving my DH and sisters crazy with a need to talk over everything - the good, the bad, and mostly my fears. As I read many postings on this site, I began to see that anxiety was not all that unusual. The strange thing was, as I checked off things I had to do to ready the house for my post surgical recovery, I began to calm down. (Probably because it was something that was under my control.) Strangely, I was not as nervous by the last week before surgery - go figure.

Best wishes for finding someone to talk with & for your surgery. The wait truly is the worst part.
