3 week post-op - Discharge?

I had a TVH a little over 2 weeks ago and I'm having some brown discharge. Does this mean I'm doing too much or is it just normal?

3 week post-op - Discharge?

I was told to expect some discharge up to about 7 weeks! I am 4 weeks post op and have had brownish and yellowish discharge. Do check with your doctor if you are worried, but I am sure it is normal.

I kind of figured that it was okay, but it just started about 2 days ago and is constant, so I wasn't sure. Thanks for responding!! Hope you are both feeling good.

3 week post-op - Discharge?

I had my TVH 3/7 and have had a light brownish discharge ever since. I have had some cramping almost daily. This morning I went to church and while there I went to the restroom and I was bleeding--not the usual, but instead it was red. Had much more cramping than usual. Came home and immediately laid down and propped up my feet. Bleeding stopped but still some cramping. Is this normal?

Scrappyfan.
I suggest You call Your Dr. It might be nothing, but Iwas told to call if there was anything different "bright red blood" If fyour Dr doesnt respond go to the nearest emergency room to be seen. Better safe than sorry. Dont worry about looking foolish.
Good luck

I have to agree with Donna. My doctor told me to expect a little discharge (and I have had a little of what everyone else seems to have had--light yellowish brown), but told me to call him immediately if I had anything that looked like blood.

I was also told to expect some bright red blood at 2-3 weeks...it happened and it went. The doc said it was a kind of blood blister, working through.
But they all say to phone if concerned 'cos it can be a bit alarming.
Take care. x

That was the exact time for me, I had gone 2 weeks with not a drop of anything, and at 3 weeks, thin pinkish tan wet stuff., But I did call the Dr and she said its normal and things were still just healing inside! If tis turns to bright red blood, yes then call Dr, Hang in there!
