What would you do.

I am set for a TAH 3-19. I have been having this fluid come out of me I thought was urine, but some of you great ladies said it could be Fibroid-Ade. We I had a uroligist appointment today. And he said that I had a slight prolapse not existing and that everything else looked okay. So the suggestion of Fibriod-Ade is most likely correct. My questions is he said that beings I was having the TAH anyway I should go ahead and fix the prolapse even though I don't really need it right now. My GYN said most likely the bladder will lift up after the TAH when the fibroids are rooms, uterus and endo and aden. If I have the bladder thing done I will have to start all over again and wait for an OR room (4-5 weeks). I am already prepared for this. The uroligist said if I don't do it with the TAH I could have it done at a later time and its only a one days surgery and that it is getting to much better that people arent even coming home with a cathader. I guess my question is should I just got straight forward with the TAH on the 19th or change my whole plans which for me it will have to be in September as I have things planned for for May and June.

Thanks for your help Ladies.

What would you do.

Hi Tina,

Well, unfortunately I'm afraid that's a tough decision that really only you and your doctors can make, but my personal thoughts on this would be to see if I could get a third opinion, since the two doctors seem to disagree somewhat, or to ask the urologist and gynecologist to talk to each other about it to see if they can reach a joint recommendation for you.

I'm sorry - I know this isn't much help. I wish you the best, no matter what decision you ultimately make.

Thank you Karen. I will be seeing my Gyn on Tuesday. She might even be able to do the slight repair herself. Thanks for you input.
