Tired of these dreams!Ever

Ever since my surgery, which was one month ago, I've been having a lot more dreams. They're you're typical wacky nonsense dreams. Don't know if it's from hormonal issues or maybe because my activity level hasn't been as high so I'm not as tired and not sleeping as deeply or as soundly.

Re: Tired of these dreams!Ever

Fawn, I don't know why, but I've had odd dreams, too, and I've seen several other posts here about that. Initially I chalked it up to the percoset, but I've been off that for over a week. I had a nightmare this morning in which I was trying to scream but couldn't. That hasn't happened since I was a kid.

Re: Tired of these dreams!Ever

I have the same thing going on....I have had a few bad dreams, but mostly, they are just weird!!! I don't know what happens to our bodies and minds during the course of surgery and recovery, but I have heard a lot of women have this issue.....wonder why?

Re: Tired of these dreams!

I'm not on any pain meds, and haven't been since 4 days after my surgery...I think maybe it's stress from the operation, trying to recover, not being able to do things that we want to do, that kind of thing.

The past few days I've really felt great and spend a couple of hours working on things around the house...no heavy lifting, though! Today I finished cutting back my perennials and squirted down a wasps nest with the hose, did a load of laundry. I'll take a break and read for an hour or so, then my son and I are heading to Wal-Mart just to pick up a few quick items and buy a leaf blower at the hardware store. So...I am increasing my activity level...hopefully that will eventually help with the dreams. I've been sleeping okay...not waking up with nightsweats quite as bad...falling asleep quickly and staying asleep...but these dreams are a pain!

Oh well...could be a lot worse!

Re: Tired of these dreams!Ever

Fawn, those dreams mean that the world is trying to make you get back to it.
DON'T LISTEN!!
I know what you are talking about its the worse. I use to dream about babies then not having any then now it's just wacky non sense type of stuff with real people in them so think it has to do with my life saying recovery is over come back to the real fun! but your body needs the rest so take it. The faster I got off the meds helped but I like to say that was the time that it stopped but it hasn't so I am really waiting until the day that I go back to work hoping that the difference in place and attitude will help me change what I think or not think about therefore help my dream world to cope. Hope this helps.

Re: Tired of these dreams!Ever

I had surgery eight weeks ago and I am still having those weird dreams and I am back at work...so... I don't know I think it's hormonal.
