Pre-cert papers from Ins. co??

I havent received any pre-cert papers yet, and my op was approved on the 5th of May. Docs office has the pre-cert number. Is it normal for me to get papers for the approval?

However when they denied me the first time, they fedex'd the denial papers overnight and I had them the next afternoon. I guess they wanted to rub it in a little.

I dont know what is wrong with ins. co's lately but I sure could write a story about the things they've been doing recently!

It depends on the insurance company, but I did receive a letter telling me I had been preapproved, the procedure approved, and how long a hospital stay.

You may want to call the insurance company and find out.

It is not nessecary for you to have the papers in hand so long as your DR has the pre-cert numbers. I didn't get my letter of conformation until I had already had my surgery. Call your insurance company if you have any questions.
