Cramps 1 year after surgery...

Hi ladies! It's been a while since I posted on here. But I had a partial hysterectomy a little over a year ago but I still have cramps every month like I did before the surgery. This month the cramps have been pretty severe. And I have noticed some spotting when I wipe myself. Does anyone else experience this? During my surgery the doctor did find endometriosis. I'm afraid that it night be coming back. Please let me know if anyone can relate! Thanks ladies!!!

Hey beautiful girl,

I don't have any experience in this but I just wanted to let you know that a sister has read your post and want to send you a big, big hug until a sister that has experience in your question answers your post. I just wanted to let you know that we are hear for you and hope you are feeling better very soon.

Pain, especially if it is on going, or new, or severe should always be seen to, even if you make a phone call to your doctor and let him know what's going on. Err on the side of caution and have your pain seen to. That way you can have your questions answered, your mind put at ease and back on the road to recovery as quickly as possible.

Take care dear lady and happy healings. Feel better soon and hugs galore, xoxo.

While it could be endometriosis, since it has been occurring every month it could also be a mini-period. The cervix is the bottom of the uterus. Thus, when it is cut from the upper portion of the uterus during a partial hysterectomy, some endometrium can be left with the cervix. That endometrium can continue to respond to hormones produced by your remaining ovary(ies). As a result, you can have some cramping and even some bleeding as that remaining endometrium tries to shed.

I would suggest you make an appointment with your doctor and discuss your situation.
