new yellow discharge-why this why now

I'm 4 1/2 weeks and have suddenly started a light yellow discharge. It felt like I had started a period and I checked and it was this watery, yellowish discharge that does not have an odor. This was an odd feeling to say the least, after feeling so "dry" down there. I searched the archives here and found a lot of information. I think it was Precious Pearl that commented this was normal (thank you for what you wrote in the archives-has put me at ease). I wondered how many others of you out there around 4-5 weeks or so have started this kind of thing? I still hurt somewhat when standing, especially getting out of a car. Still have uncomfortableness when peeing. Need to rest frequently. I was just wondering what is "normal?" Some posts I read mentioned the possibility of granulation? Is yellow discharge a sign of that?- Do you have to have pain with that and if so how much pain? I think I'm going to have to start wearing a panty liner after all these weeks without anything. I thought I was home free from any complications. I'm kind of worried. My follow up exam is jan 3rd and I know I'll have questions then, but for now just wondered if all this new discharge is something a lot of people have experienced at this point. Thanks for all your replies in advance. Yipee

I never had any yellowish discharge, but if I had, I would have been concerned about infection. It might be worth a call to your doctor's office just to set your mind at ease.

discharge

When I went for my 2 week check up my Dr. told me to expect a yellw discharge that might thicken. He said that was a sign of the stiches dissolving. If it starts to get a foul odor, then I would call your doctor. Mine did and I had a bacterial infection.

Thanks, Wyntersnow and 24Dupont. Sometimes I can't honestly tell if it's pee or discharge I'm seeing (sorry, gross). I noticed that both of you were October, so I have to ask, when (what week) did you not feel any pain when standing up quickly or coughing, for example?

better

I was oct. 28th. and had a TVH. I really did not have any pain standing. Then around 4 or 5 weeks I got alot of pressure on my lower left part of my groin. I think mine was the anterior repair healing. The most pain I did have was my rectum. I told my Dr. " my butt hurts". He said because most of the nerve endings are in that area and they were starting to come alive again. I felt like I had a stick up my butt. ha. I felt great at 6 weeks. Still alittle tender on the lower left side when I have sex.

I had a total abdominal on Oct 21, and I had trouble standing up straight for about two weeks. I held my hands under my abdomen to keep it from jiggling when I walked, and that helped a bit. One week at home and a sneeze creeped up on me -- sheer agony! After that, I would press my hands or a pillow against my stomach whenever I sneezed. It helped a lot. The pain of coughing and sneezing eased up slowly, and by the third week I wasn't experiencing any bad discomfort. At six weeks, I was still standing up carefully, even though there wasn't any real pain. It was more from being cautious than anything else.

Thanks guys. I'm feeling better about everything this evening. I had a sudden surge of energy and got a lot cleaned up around the house. No noticeable discharge and I think I'm ok.
