You're still very early in your recovery and I can tell you I went through the exact same things. Cramps may be a way of telling you that you overdid it so try to give it a rest when that happens. I had a HORRIBLE time sleeping for quite a while. Would just lay awake until dawn, unable to sleep. Partly because I just couldn't get comfortable to sleep, it was impossible to move around in bed without hurting my incision, and I'm a side sleeper which was difficult to do for the first several weeks. And partly because I just had mad insomnia. I just didn't feel tired. It was crazy. I read in other places on these boards that it's due to hormone fluctuations which happen after surgery, and your body's stress reaction to the surgery. It will go away eventually.

I had a myomectomy 5 years ago and had numbness around my incision from that surgery that never fully went away. I also have numbness around the incision from this surgery (they partially used the same incision spot from my first surgery). I've resigned myself that this may always be numb in that spot, which is annoying, but not debilitating. If that's the worst side effect I'm OK with that.

Give yourself time to heal.

Re: After surgery pain

I'm 6 months post-op and only one small part of my incision has regained feeling. The rest is totally numb and will probably always be like that.

It's a weird sensation when I lean against something, but can't feel it. I'm getting used to it!

Re: 2 weeks post hysterectomy: After surgery pain

Hello : ) My surgery was Oct. 7. Lots of lower belly cramps in the last 2 days- found my tipping point on all the laxatives I am on and now and having trouble the other way. So some cramps due to that and some to surgery? I had ovaries out as well and estrogen patch on, and still have had a few sleepless nights- hard to get comfortable and just plain awake. Hope you are feeling better!!!!

October 2nd I did a full hysterectomy but they left one ovary .. drink plenty water ,prune juice and eat stuff with fiber and eat small portions.. and plenty rest .. that's what helped me.. but I still have cramping and numbness on my left side where one of my incisions are it sucks and I hope it goes away.. I was on antibiotics for an ear infection and all of a sudden yesterday I had a yeast infection come out of nowhere.. I'm hoping I get some good news tomorrow from my doctor.. I have AZO PILLS FOR YEAST INFECTIONS BY MOUTH AND Monistat 7 cream to put on the outside.. I think this is the worst ever I hope my endometriosis stage two is gone... I hope you feel better soon also
