I didn't experience this problem but I know there are ladies here who have and I hope they'll be along soon to share.

Sending all good wishes that things improve very soon for you. Take care!

Help ~ scar tissue/granulation ~ anyone else?

I had granulation ( my dr called it wet scar tissue ) after my hyst. My dr treated it with silver nitrate at his office. I didn't have to do anything extra at home.

(((boriloca4))), I'm sorry that you're dealing with granulation tissue. I had a lot of it on my vaginal cuff, too. At first my doctor treated it with silver nitrate but because there was so much of it, he ended up having to remove it. This was done as a minor surgical procedure in the doctor's office. Most women don't have to have the granulation removed surgically but if yours doesn't respond well to the silver nitrate, it may be something your doctor will suggest.

It sure wasn't fun going through this but on the positive side, I did eventually heal and have had no trouble with my vaginal cuff since.

I hope you heal well soon! Let us know how it's going, okay?

For anyone interested, there's good information about granulation tissue and how it is treated in this link: Vaginal Cuff - Granulation - Cauterization.
