Strange feeling in the belly???

Good Morning Sisters,

I am five weeks post op and still have a swelly belly. I also
get this strange feeling in my belly. It feels like something
is eating away at my stomach. Could it just be nerves???
Is it part of the healing process???

Question.....how soon did anyone start sleeping on their
stomach?

This is the best site.

Re: Strange feeling in the belly???

I had my surgery the same day as you and I still have bad Swelly belly. I haven't even made it to my side yet to sleep. As far as the feeling of something eating at your stomach, I have no idea. I'm having bad problems with gas. Could you be feeling that moving around in your stomach?

Re: Strange feeling in the belly???

I have the strange tummy feeling too!!..it's really weird.Almost like a trembling sensation or like you said, somethings eating at it!!!.Not painful but a bit unpleasant. I'm wondering whether it could be because the muscles are loose now they've been cut??!

Re: Strange feeling in the belly???

Hey Ladies! I am 3 just over 3 weeks post-op and I can sleep on my belly. I do have sharp-like stabbing pains in my lower abdomen at times and have serious swelly belly. Over all I have been back to work and exhausted at night. Inside my stomach feels like things are moving back into place - hard to explain... It's definitely different.
