Two weeks and one day to go

Hey, emc, thank you so much for your understanding. Today I had a long talk with my mom, and I'm going for a second opinion on 11/23, and I'm going to my GP tomorrow at 10. To discuss my concerns and my feelings. I may wait until after the holidays to reschedule surgery if everyone agrees. If not I'm on for 12/1. I want to make the best decision at the best time. I have to say that this has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do and I've been through many trials in my life. But this is the first time that I have had a peaceful feeling, since all of this has begun. Wishing everyone the best of luck. I thought all day about all of the sisters that went to the castle today. Probably by now they are all resting comfortably.

Hi Umbrella,
I am so glad you feel like you are on the right track.
Good luck with the doctor appts. I hope they give you good advice and good perspective.

With my GP, and my surgeon, (not my gyn) I had to convince them to give me their choice. I asked them to tell me what they would advise their wives to do in my situation.

My GP said the Lupron is an unknown, and the hysterectomy is a known. That's why he'd choose it.
My surgeon said, "My wife won't take hormones, so she'd have no choice here."

That was it for me.

I hope it is as clear for you.

Take care,
Eileen
