Kind of gross but need advice..

I had a TAH 7 days ago. Pre surgery i had a mild rectocele (intestines coming out thru my vagina) Doc told me where there had to stitch me closed at my cervix it would repair it since the skin would be pulled tighter for the stitching. Fast forward today- i need to BM so bad but i cant and ive realized that the bm is right there but its pushing up into my vag n trying to push out that way. I assume the prolapse wasnt fixed or maybe it was and now its something else? Or is this normal? Any help would be so appreciated.

Oh, honey, that sounds awful...and not normal!! I would call your doctor right away to get this addressed. You poor thing. Please keep us posted.

When I got home from my TVH and rectocele repair I had lots of pressure in my vagina and my rectum before I was able to have my first post op bm. I ended up having to take something to make me have a bm. After that I felt much better and each day the pressure has gotten better. Now I don't have that pressure. I think it takes time for your body to get used to the changes. To be on the safe side, I would call the dr to make sure. I was 3 days post op but you're 7 and that makes a big difference as far as having a bm. I hope you're able to have a bm soon.

And I hope you are taking stool softeners! With just a plain hyster I needed them for 3 weeks! Call you Dr, and good luck!

Yes stool softeners and ive even tried milk of mag and an enema

If you have tried all that and still can't have a BM...it is DEFINITELY time to call your doctor. You don't want to get a bowel impaction. You should call and be seen right away.

I agree with seeing the dr since you've tried so much and still can't go. Let us know what dr says.
