Post-Op Diet?

My surgery date is March 20, and I'm trying to get everything ready for my family (DH, two teenage sons, 2 year old daughter). They will be bringing me hunks of meat and fried everything else unless I have stocked easy things for them to nuke for me. Can anyone share what type of diet you are on for the first two weeks or so? I have read about the prunes, juice and water, no sodas and high fiber foods and fruit. Are there any other restrictions?

I haven't really eaten anything "gassy" like pizza or brocolli. No pickles either.

Mainly, eggs, pasta, chicken, easy things like soup. Hubby can cook, but it has to come outta a box! Stock up on mac-n-cheese, burgers, soup, pasta things...

Make sure the family knows that you want healthy, like salads! Helps get all that junk outta you from the surgery.

I pretty much lived on soup, fruit, and light sandwiches.

However, there were times (lots of them), when I just didn't want anything. My frantic husband finally convinced me to drink some Ensure, and that went down ok. You may want to have some on hand, for times when you just don't feel like eating, but you need some nourishment.
