Lie down do small walks - toilet and back to bed - start your days slowly - plan out as much as you can - but don't stress because you can't do something - I made some mistakes set myself back - thankfully no major damage but knocked my confidence I am on week 6 this week still have some sitting probes but that's more due to swelling as I had a 4 k fibroid removed too

Re: What's safe to do?

Walking is good, just short walks around the house at first and then maybe down to the end of the driveway and back... as slow as you need to go. My doctor advised me to walk every day. After about two weeks, I was walking around the block and gradually built up from there.

I found that sitting for long periods was uncomfortable (up until about week six), so I spent a lot of time reclining on piles of pillows to read or watch TV or use my laptop. I would also lie down (completely flat) for a couple of hours a day and listen to an audio book or music.

You may be able to do light housework, like washing dishes, but be VERY careful about anything strenuous, like pushing a vacuum or mopping or lifting laundry baskets. The general rule of thumb is no lifting more than 10 lbs. for at least the first month.

Try to relax and enjoy your down time.
